LIVE: Updates from the May 7 meetings of the Buncombe commissioners and Asheville City Council

It’s a busy evening in local government, with meetings of both the Buncombe County Board of Commissioners and Asheville City Council.

Commissioners meet at 4:30 p.m. to consider a new nonprofit funding policy, and reports by the NCDOT as well as the Asheville Regional Airport.

Asheville City Council meets at 5 p.m. to discuss the possibility of filing a lawsuit against North Carolina General Assembly legislation that would hand control of the city’s water system over to the Metropolitan Sewage District.
