Congratulations to Wally Bowen. He won!
He is back in charge of his baby [WPVM]. He can now move on with his hobby. But what was and will be the price to pay? Bitter nights to remind himself how hurtful he has have been with people who loved and believed in him? He must know!
He is in charge of his actions, and justice will prevail automatically in his life and future relations with others.
Firing good people like a corporate CEO; blocking access to communication—in the name of … communication; backstabbing his best supporters: The methods used to regain control of the station were despicable, and how disgraceful and inhuman those actions were in my eyes since the beginning of the explosion of his internal volcano. I will not even talk about the board: laughable. Reminds me of Ralph Nader, in fact—great idea; bad method and means!
Divided to conquer, scapegoating the good guys [is a] classic method for those who have no clue how to deal with human conflicts, or for bad kings without charisma and wit.
Those “renegades” who took the courage to get organized to help deal with the lack of leadership and ideas of MAIN; who were punished by being banned (fired, cooling-off, whatever hypocritical appellation was found), and are also filled with disgust at the methods used against them. Believe me there are more than nine!
I have happily performed my last show at the station, and will come back to clean out my archives and folders there. I want to be removed from the MAIN list-serve and the supportive-member list. MAIN has lost my respect.
Paris of the South is gone from WPVM. I have done my job right, but I have to draw the line in the sand—in respect for myself!
