Rodriguez live!

Rodriguez, aka the Sugar Man, packed the Grey Eagle last Saturday night for one of his only shows in the region. Backed by a squad of Asheville-area musicians, he sang many of his signature songs, which are garnering more listeners than ever, thanks to a recent revival of interest in the psychedelic folksters’ work.

Xpress was there, and came back with a photo gallery of the show and the audience, along with videos of three of Rodriguez’ performances and one by the show’s opener, Greg Cartwright.
