Time is running out to get tickets for this Spring’s Lake Eden Arts Festival. All the tickets are sold in advance (LEAF doesn’t sell tix at the gate). There are still a limited number of weekend tickets and Friday and Sunday day passes, says Jennifer Pickering, LEAF’s executive director. (Saturday day passes, community and vehicle camping passes are sold out.)
This year’s performer lineup includes the Meter Men (three of the four original Meters), afrobeat collective Antibalas, Americana road warrior Martin Sexton, sacred steel outfit The Lee Boys, bluegrass virtuosos The Travelin’ McCourys, The Overtakers (direct from Jamaica), Robin and Linda Williams and Their Fine Band, Ba Man Bia and many more. There’s also a host of dance groups, percussion ensembles, gourmet food vendors, crafters and more. It all takes place at Camp Rockmont, the lovely site of the former Black Mountain College.

The line up does not seem as interesting as in previous years. Maybe that is too partial of a list to judge. We hope to be playing the festival next year — http://www.toetappingticklers.com.
