Asheville streets to close for Owen Wilson film shoot

Some downtown Asheville streets will be closed to traffic next week to allow for filming of a bank heist movie staring Owen Wilson, Zach Galifianakis and Kristen Wig.

According to the Asheville Citizen-Times, road closures include:

Tuesday, July 29

6 a.m.-10 a.m. Broadway/Biltmore Avenue from College to Eagle streets; Patton Avenue to Market Street and Pack Square.
9 a.m.-1 p.m. plaza in front of Buncombe County Courthouse.
5-9 p.m. College Street from Broadway to Lexington, as well as intermittent traffic control on Patton Avenue from Lexington to Biltmore avenues.

For Wednesday, July 30

6 a.m. – 1 p.m. Pack Square from Biltmore Avenue to Market Street.

The city of Asheville website maintains a list of upcoming road closures here. According to the site, a section of Riverside Drive from its intersection with Hill Street to Craven Street will also be closed for filming Wed. July 30.
