The confidential classes are part of a program called Support and Family Education (SAFE) and are for family members and caregivers only. Classes will be held in the Community Living Center Conference Room on the CGVAMC campus, 1100 Tunnel Rd., Asheville. No reservations are needed. Family members may attend any session they are interested in. Scheduled classes are:
Communication Tips for Family Members, August 4

Taking Care of Yourself, Nov. 3
Empowering Your Loved One on the Journey of Recovery, Dec. 1
SAFE will give people the chance to talk to other people in similar situations, learn more about mental health issues and trauma, get emotional support and encouragement, learn new skills for communication and coping with stress and ultimately improve the ability of caregivers to take care of themselves and their family members.
