AC-T: Man drops off corpse at Mission Hospital in Asheville, takes off

ASHEVILLE – City police are looking for answers after they say a man dropped off a corpse at Mission Hospital, then fled.

Police have identified the dead man as Logan Michael Pitman, 26, of Bakersville, according to a search warrant at the Buncombe County magistrate’s office. But investigators are still looking for the man who brought the body to the hospital.

Investigators and hospital staff were unable to determine how Pitman died. An autopsy was planned Monday, police Sgt. Dave Romick said.
