New York Times best selling author Sandor Katz is headed to Asheville for a week to teach an in-depth fermentation class alongside five other wild food experts, including Alan Muskat, Natalie Blogwalker, Luke Cannon, Asia Suler and Marc Williams.
“You’ll learn hands-on, age-old, health-enhancing techniques for increasing the nutritive and healing properties of your food through fermentation,” reads the event page. “Gain take-home skills in safe foraging and preparation of wild plants, weeds, medicines, and mushrooms!”
The class takes place at Ashevillage Institute from Sunday, May 24 to Saturday, May 30, and cost $1,222 (discounts available to locals). Click here for more information.
