Ski and Snowboard Program for Teens
The City of Asheville Parks and Recreation Department will begin accepting registrations for the 2016 Teen Ski and Snowboard program on Monday, November 30 at 8:00 a.m. online at www.ashevillenc.gov/parks. Designed for 12 to 17 year olds, the program package is a great holiday gift idea and offers five Friday-evening sessions of skiing or snowboarding this winter at Cataloochee Ski Mountain in Maggie Valley, North Carolina.
Trip dates are January 8, 22, 29 and February 5 and 19. All trips depart at 4:15 p.m. from the Stephens-Lee Recreation Center located at 30 George Washington Carver Avenue and return at 11:00 p.m. No refund is available for missed sessions.
The five-week package price is only $255 and includes lift tickets and charter bus transportation. City of Asheville residents receive a $10 discount. Lessons and equipment rentals are available for an additional cost. For Cataloochee season pass holders, five-weeks of transportation only is $130.
