Don your wristbands and Vans, Coheed and Cambria are coming to town. The nationwide tour follows the special re-release of their most recent album, The Color Before the Sun. That record, the band’s most personal project to date, still rings with the pop-meets-rock bubblegum and playfully pitched vocals that serve as a lasting signature. Though Rolling Stone called the album “a dramatic departure” (it leaves behind the fictional Amory Wars series), the show is still sure to warm nostalgic, eyeliner-lovin’ hearts. Coheed and Cambria take the stage with old-school emo favorite Saves the Day and instrumental metal band Polyphia at The Orange Peel on Sunday, Oct. 2, at 7 p.m. $30. theorangepeel.net.
