The Friends of the Library will continue a partnership with the Haywood County Arts Council to sponsor weekend afternoon performances during the month of September. The Friends of the Library Concert Series continues with Gypsy jazz band One Leg Up playing the Waynesville branch on Saturday, November 12. Honey Holler will play their brand of old time music at the Canton branch on Sunday, November 20. Both performances begin at 3:00 p.m. and are free and open to the public.
Based in Asheville, North Carolina, One Leg Up performs a vibrant mixture of upbeat Gypsy Jazz, Latin, Swing and original jazz compositions and is a favorite of club, concert, and festival stages throughout the southeastern United States. Enjoy their performance at the Waynesville branch of the Haywood County Public Library on November 12.
Then, on November 20, welcome beloved local band Honey Holler to the Canton branch of the Haywood County Public Library. This all female band from Asheville will play spirited fiddle tunes, old time, and country traditional songs combined with their sweet harmonies. Don’t miss the fun at 3:00 p.m.!
