Musicians continue to put out new albums, but with performance venues still closed, album release shows have been postponed or canceled. Nashville-based Miss Tess is one of those artists, and was slated to be at Ambrose West this weekend to support her latest collection, The Moon is an Ashtray.
Miss Tess and her band are not quite local, but have been regulars on the scene here for quite some time. Their era-mixing, genre-bending sound has attracted a growing following in the Asheville area — and will hopefully gain even more fans in the near future. (The Ambrose show has been rescheduled for Oct. 8.)
The quartet stopped by The Grey Eagle for a two-song performance a little while back. It was captured exclusively for Xpress and Acoustic Asheville and is featured below.
