Buncombe County Memorial Day schedules

Press release from Buncombe County:

Buncombe County Government offices will be closed on Monday, May 31, for Memorial Day. Buncombe County and the City of Asheville will hold a virtual Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 31, at 11 a.m., that will air on the City’s YouTube channel. Click here for more details.

Solid Waste

-The Landfill and Transfer Station will be closed on Monday, May 31.
-Waste Pro will be closed on Monday, May 31. Monday collections will occur on Tuesday, June 1, Tuesday collections on Wednesday, and so on with Friday collections on Saturday.

Recreation Services

-Administrative offices are closed on Monday, May 31.
-All Buncombe County parks are open regular hours. Most Buncombe County outdoor pools open on Saturday, May 29.

Libraries

-All Buncombe County libraries, per their normal schedule, are closed on Monday, May 31. -Access our digital resources at buncombecounty.org/library.

Emergency Services

-EMS and 911 services remain open. Emergency Services’ administration office will be closed.

Buncombe County Courthouse

-The Buncombe County Courthouse will be closed on Monday, May 31.
