Press release from the City of Hendersonville:
The Woodhill Drive connection to US Hwy 25, as well as one southbound lane of US Hwy 25, will be closed during the week of Tuesday, June 6, as part of Hendersonville’s Northside Water System Improvement project. The portion of Woodhill Drive from Hendersonville Road to Thorncrest Drive/Glensprings Drive will be blocked to through traffic. Vehicles will be rerouted to Fanning Bridge Road during the closure.
The work is scheduled to begin in the late evening hours on June 6, and the largest portion of the work and lane closure of US-25 is expected to last five days. Work will be completed during daytime and nighttime hours to complete the project as quickly as possible with the shortest duration of road closures possible. Motorists are asked to follow signage and be alert for crews working in the area. Woodhill Drive may experience full closures or lane closures until Thursday, June 15.
The City of Hendersonville, Town of Fletcher and NCDOT have worked with the contractor to develop a plan that causes the least amount of disruption to US 25 and Town of Fletcher residents. No widespread water outages are expected as part of the work; however, minor localized outages may be possible. Should a water outage occur, water customers will receive additional communication from Hendersonville Water & Sewer. The Northside Water System project’s purpose is to improve water service and pressure in the Fletcher/Northside area.
More information about the project is available at www.hendersonvillenc.gov/water-sewer. Questions about the project may be directed to Hendersonville Water & Sewer at (828) 697–3073.
