Bee City USA-Asheville is thrilled to announce the 12th annual Pollination Celebration! This event-packed celebration is designed to raise awareness and support for pollinators, the tiny heroes essential to our food supply and natural ecosystems. Join us for a series of engaging, educational, and fun activities throughout the month of June, culminating in National Pollinator Week, June 17-23, 2024.
Asheville’s Pollination Celebration! offers something for everyone, from film enthusiasts and gardening novices to seasoned conservationists and families looking for a day out with a purpose. Highlights include a series of educational film screenings at Pack Library’s Pollination Celebration! Film Fest, gardening workshops, an enchanting evening with moths, pollinator safaris, a scavenger hunt, a globally recognized authority on the world’s bees, and much more. Many of the events are free, but a few require registration.
Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of this vital initiative to protect and celebrate pollinators! Your participation helps spread the buzz about the importance of pollinators and how each of us can contribute to their conservation.
Asheville is the birthplace of the national Bee City USA program which has 400 affiliates in 47 states. Bee City USA’s mission is galvanizing cities and college campuses to sustain pollinators by increasing the abundance of native plants, providing nest sites, and reducing the use of pesticides.
