UNC Asheville has been a beacon of educational integrity and ingenuity for decades, so this latest turn of events is disturbing. One suggestion would be for our legislature to stop handing out vouchers for private school attendance and focus on adequately funding public schools and universities.

Some high school AP classes have required students to go to five events located off the high school campus (choosing based on guidelines provided by the high school instructor) . One of the options including going to a meeting at UNCA, supposedly related to the high school curriculum. This particular meeting was recruiting high schoolers to handout propaganda for the Democratic Candidate of the time. They were told people be more receptive to literature from high schoolers than “old ladies”.
The Socialist indoctrination begins well before college and grows like a snowball headed down hill in College.
Classes that have a title that end with the word studies require extra scrutiny. Some of these classes are as valuable as
Hooked on phonics studies
Under water basket weaving studies

Completely inaccurate. But nice try.

I was wondering whether there was any substance behind this horror tale of “Socialist indoctrination” in our high schools. Thanks for clarifying.

Completely accurate, they were pushed to handout literature for the liberal candidate for president who they did’t support
So this led to a few students acquiring literature for the more conservative candidate for President and handing it out on voting day at their voting location. They weren’t old enough to vote but it went well.
It’s interesting hearing a hand full of people with no idea what they’re talking about say false.
This kind of ignorance could lead to?

..uh, Amen to the on spot sentiment of the letter writer, not the delusional gibberish that proceeds my initial comment …just to be very clear. sigh.

What in the world makes you think the type of degrees currently offered are optimal and not too few or too many?
