About the World Food Championships

The World Food Championships is the natural progression of the thousands of cooking competitions that take place across the globe each year. Tens of thousands of consumers will compete in a year-long trial to qualify for the World Food Championships. The World Food Championships takes over where Food Network leaves off – in the kitchen and backyard of every American home. Not fake made-for-TV stars – but everyday real consumers who simply believe they can.
Nowhere in the culinary landscape is the spirit of integration and engagement more alive than at the World Food Championships, where the world’s most creative food champions face off for pride and culinary glory. The World Food Championships averages about 25,000 attendees per day throughout the multiple zones and competitions, all while being produced by MMA Creative Inc and filmed by Big Time Entertainment for a six-episode TV series to air on the Destination America, a Discovery Network in the summer of 2016. The World Food Championships is the largest competition in food sport, where champions of previous events convene for a chance at winning the ultimate food crown and a share of $300,000. The World Food Championships platform ranges from live-event integration and activations to a robust multimedia platform that serves culinary stars, home cooks, brands and destinations. In four short years, WFC has awarded more than $1 million in prizes and money, spawned a TV series, garnered more than 5 billion media impressions and launched numerous professional careers for successful contestants.VIP Tickets
