AC-T: Limo driver sentenced to 12 years for crash that killed couple

ASHEVILLE – A limousine driver who was behind the wheel high on crack cocaine during a crash that killed a newlywed couple expecting their first child was sentenced Monday to at least 12 years in prison.

Rodney Koon, 46, of Asheville, pleaded guilty to two counts of felony death by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter of an unborn child and driving while impaired at a hearing in Buncombe County Superior Court.
