From Aloft Asheville Downtown

Press release

Enjoy clear September views of the mountains from the best rooftop venue in town at the Aloft Asheville Downtown and do good at the same time. The hotel’s Sundays Live@Aloft music series continues with a live performance by Jamar Woods Acoustic Band from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday, September 27th. The event is open to the public and a suggested $5 donation will benefit the YMCA of Western North Carolina.

The event, part of the hotel’s Sundays Live@Aloft music series, will be held on the hotel’s rooftop Air Level with spectacular mountain views surrounding downtown Asheville. The W XYZ bar will feature local craft brews as well as cocktail favorites. Light snacks will also be available.

“We are excited to continue our Sundays Live@Aloft series, especially with gorgeous autumn mountain views and incredible music from the Jamar Woods Acoustic Band,” said Aloft Asheville Downtown’s General Manager David McCartney. “The Sundays Live@Aloft series has been a huge success and we look forward to continuing to give back to our community while bringing in some of the hottest musical acts in the area for our hotel guests and Asheville locals.”

Asheville’s Jamar Woods Acoustic Trio is a tight musical group with a broad range of musical genres in the repertoire – jazz, R&B, blues, funk, rock and soul. The group is a popular band in the Asheville area and has a strong local following.

The YMCA of Western North Carolina is dedicated to building healthy spirit, mind and body for all residents of the region. Diverse groups find a place of welcome and belonging at the YMCA of Western North Carolina- an organization that builds strong kids, strong families and strong communities. There is one remaining musical event in the SundaysLive@Aloft for the year and it should be a very special one. The live music will be October 25th and will benefit Charlie’s Angels Animal Rescue, an organization that partners with the Aloft Downtown with their pet adoption program. Since xxxx, the hotel and Charlie’s Angels Animal Rescue have placed xx dogs in happy homes, many of them locally. Local adopters, and their canine adoptees, will be invited back that day for a reunion at the hotel. For more information about Charlie’s Angels, visit http://www.wncanimalrescue.org/
