Press release from Anam Cara Theatre Company:
Frank and Emma are living a quiet life on their Wisconsin dairy farm . . . until a middle-of-the-night phone call from an old friend sends their life into a whirlwind of confusion and terror.
The God of Hell is a very dark comedy that is perfect for the current election season. It is a romp around the kitchen of the American Heartland in a nightmare of torture, electric shocks, and American flags.
“This play is the most poignant thing out there when it comes to our government and election process,” says director Missy Bell. “You’ll laugh at the antics of the cast but you’ll leave questioning everything you thought you knew about government, safety, and politics.”
Anam Cara Theatre Company produces experimental theatre that empowers artists, promotes equality, challenges thinking and transforms community. We provide a safe space for artists and audiences to take risks, grow, and collaborate.
