APD seeks information about shooting at Livingston Apartments

Asheville Police Department Seeking Additional Information on Shooting in Livingston Apartments

Asheville, NC (September 26, 2016): At approximately 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 24th, the Asheville Police Department responded to a call for shots fired at Livingston Apartments. Multiple shots were fired during this incident, resulting in two vehicles being struck and damaged, as well as damage to two apartments. One victim, Tony Eugene Young Jr., was located and transported to Mission Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He received gunshot wounds in the leg, stomach and posterior.

At this time the incident is still under further investigation. Detectives located multiple shell casings at the scene and are diligently working to analyze evidence and follow-up on leads. The Asheville Police Department will maintain an enhanced presence in the area over the course of the next few days.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have been in the area of 292 Livingston Street around 1:30 a.m. or may have additional information related to this incident.
