Asheville City Schools Board of Education candidate forum Friday, April 22

Press release via North Carolina Association of Educators

In collaboration with the Asheville City Schools District Wide Parent Group and Asheville High School’s Student Government Association (SGA), ACAE will be hosting an in-person and live-streamed candidate forum on Friday, April 22nd. This event will happen at AB-Tech’s Ferguson Auditorium from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. RSVP here for details and relevant streaming links.

This school board election has the potential to impact Asheville City Schools for years to come. And while it’s true that many of ACS staff do not live in Asheville and will not have an opportunity to vote, voters in Asheville need to know what public school staff, parents, and students think about these candidates and look to us for this leadership.

ACAE members are voting late next week on endorsements for the Asheville City Schools Board of Education. This will occur after a careful review of candidate questionnaires and the candidate forum.

Start: Friday, April 22, 2022 6:00 PM
End: Friday, April 22, 2022 7:30 PM
Location: AB-Tech Ferguson Auditorium, 340 Victoria Road, Asheville, NC 28801
Host Contact Info: Daniel Withrow (Asheville City Association of Educators) and Honor Moor (ACS District Wide Parent Group)

Sound quality totally useless. No clue what the candidates actually profess.
