Asheville Business Inclusion community outreach and networking event set for June 29

The City of Asheville Business Inclusion Office (ABI) announces it will be hosting a Minority/Women-owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) community outreach and networking event this month.

June 29, 2024
8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Asheville Fire Department (AFD)  Station #1
100 Court Plaza
The event will take place in the fourth floor training room.

The ABI office welcomes MWBE community members to take advantage of the  opportunity to learn about procurement and contracting with the City along with the processes, procedures, community partners, and other valuable resources within Asheville’s economic development system.

Who Should Attend:
This event is designed for existing and aspiring MWBE businesses interested in working with the City of Asheville and growing their business.

Topics for this event will include: 

COA Procurement and Contracting
NC HUB (Historically Underutilized Businesses)
NCDOT
Mountain Capital Community Funding

In addition, we will have presentations from our ABI Economic Development Community partners, including A/B Tech, Asheville Chamber of Commerce, and Mountain Bizworks.
