Press release from the Asheville City Schools Foundation:
Fund for Teachers fellowships give teachers the opportunity to travel anywhere in the world, all-expenses paid, to gain new experiences that will enrich their classrooms. This year, the Asheville City Schools Foundation (ACSF) provided 3 Asheville City Schools teachers with this amazing opportunity!
“My Fund for Teachers fellowship was crucial to my career,” said 2015 Fund for Teachers Fellow Lauren Jones of Asheville High School, who explored Special Education intervention strategies and methods in Lebanon, Greece, and Turkey. “It challenged me, helped me grow, broadened my horizons and scope of education, and renewed my passion for my craft.”
Through their partnership in the Fellows program, ACSF and Fund for Teachers have been providing opportunities for educators to dig deep and learn more for over five years. We look forward to many successful years to come!
Application Deadline: Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 5pm CST
