Asheville Fire Department mobilizes to support Hurricane Debby response efforts

Press release from City of Asheville:

The Asheville Fire Department has received an activation order to support the North Carolina Emergency Management Agencies in their response to Hurricane Debby. AFD will deploy a team of 16 dedicated personnel to Williamston, North Carolina, with an expected arrival time of 6 PM tonight. The initial request is for 7 days.

Chief Cayse states, “Our team is fully committed to providing the necessary support to ensure the safety and recovery of those affected by Hurricane Debby. We stand ready to assist our neighboring communities in this time of need.”
