Two full days after two individuals were shot in Biltmore Village, suspect Bryant DeAngelo Sanders surrendered to authorities. Sanders, 21, allegedly shot two individuals, ages 20 and 21, around 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 23. The victims were in their car when they were shot through the window. The shooting occurred outside Chico’s clothing store off Sweeten Creek Road.
The City of Asheville’s official blog, “Asheville City Source,” reports that the suspect is being held at the Buncombe County Detention Facility on $700,000 bond. Sanders faces two counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury, and two counts of discharging a weapon into occupied property, inflicting serious injury.

Asheville Police identify suspect in Feb 23 shooting
Following an exhaustive investigation by detectives within the Criminal Investigations Division of the Asheville Police Department, Bryant DeAngelo Sanders, 21 years of age of Asheville, NC has been identified as the offender in the shooting incident in Biltmore Village on the afternoon of February 23, 2015. Sanders currently has six outstanding warrants for his arrest:
2 counts of Attempted First-Degree Murder
2 counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon with the Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury
2 counts of Discharging a Weapon into Occupied Property Inflicting Serious Injury
Sanders should be considered armed and dangerous. If members of the public have any information concerning his whereabouts, please call the Asheville Police Department at 828-252-1110 or Crime Stoppers at 828-255-5050. The Asheville Police Department is no longer seeking the vehicle utilized by Sanders in the commission of the crimes. No photograph of Sanders is available for dissemination.
