Asheville Police Department seeks assistance to locate arson suspect

Press release from Asheville Police Department:

The Asheville Police Department is requesting assistance to identify an arson suspect. At approximately 2:12 a.m. on June 20 the Asheville Police Department responded to a fire in the alley between Salsa’s and Farm Burger (10 Patton Avenue) that was believed to be suspicious. The fire was lit in the dumpster located in the back of the alley. The fire caused property damage only, no one was injured.

After further investigation by the Criminal Investigations Section (CIS), the fire is believed to be a result of arson. The attached video shows the suspect, who appears to be a white male, with a slender build. 

If anyone has any information on the identity of the suspect encouraged to contact the Asheville Police Department at (828) 252-1110 or Asheville-Buncombe Crime Stoppers at (828) 255-5050, if they wish to remain anonymous.
