Aaron Farmer is the man to know on Thursday, March 12. In conjunction with the Asheville School of Wine, he’ll lead a free tasting of Chilean wines from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m., after which the violinist will perform a brief set with his bluegrass outfit the Bread and Butter Band.

“Aaron is a way cool guy. He will be great at the tasting, and the music will rock this old place,” says MetroWines owner Gina Trippi.

The Bread and Butter Band is known for blending a wide range of influences, from jazz to blues and bluegrass to rock. Free song demos and more information are available at thebreadandbutterband.com.

“A Wild Night on Charlotte Street” takes place at MetroWines, 169 Charlotte Street, on Thursday, March 12 from 5:30 p.m. Until 8 p.m. Visit metrowinesasheville.com for more information about the event.
