Press release from Mission Hospital
There was a celebration in the Heart Tower at Mission Hospital in Asheville today as a patient dedicated a large quilt she made to honor the heart team at Mission who has cared for both her and her husband. The quilt called “A Grateful Heart” was made by Susan Yaskin of Barnardsville, NC, and donated to Mission Hospital fittingly on Valentine’s Day.
Yaskin hopes this 80’ x 80’ quilt in the lobby of the Heart Tower will inspire patients, visitors and hospital staff on a daily basis. Some of the cardiac team at Mission gathered for this dedication, where Yaskin said during her presentation, “The Grateful Heart Quilt is donated today to Mission Hospital Heart Tower as an expression of our gratitude for the exceptional care both my husband and I have received.”
February is National Heart Month, making the celebration extra special for the Mission team.
