Brevard Music Center’s free “First Mondays” concert series returns Feb. 3

Press release from Brevard Music Center:

Brevard Music Center, in association with Brevard College in Brevard, is pleased to announce the next offering in its popular and FREE Community Concert Series. On Monday, February 3 at 12:30 PM, the “First Mondays” chamber concert returns to the Porter Center (Brevard College) featuring three esteemed BMC faculty members—Eric Ohlsson (oboe), Deloise Chagas Lima (piano), and Dilshad Posnock (flute)—in an exquisite program of four masterful chamber works: Telemann’s Trio in e minor for Flute, Oboe and Continuo, Cimarosa’s Concerto for Oboe and Strings, Dring’s Three Piece Suite, and Saint Saëns’s Sonata for Oboe and Piano.

BMC’s free “Chamber Music Tuesdays” concerts in Hendersonville will resume in March 2020 and continue, along with “First Mondays” in Brevard, through May 2020.

February’s local “First Mondays” Charity Partner is the Transylvania Community Arts Council.

“What an inspiring way to start the New Year!” said Brevard Music Center President & CEO Mark Weinstein. “Brevard Music Center faculty represent a distinguished group of musicians from major orchestras, universities, and conservatories across the country and around the world. We are delighted to present Eric, Deloise, and Dilshad to the hundreds of music-lovers who fill our halls during our popular and free community concert series. Join us as we showcase their artistry and present an unforgettable afternoon of world-class music and entertainment.”
