Broadway in Black Mountain: AmiciMusic at the White Horse on Oct. 19

AmiciMusic performs “Broadway Baby” (which includes music from classic Broadway shows) at White Horse Black Mountain on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15, $5 for students and children.

From a press release:

The featured artists are soprano Amanda Horton, an Asheville native who has thrilled audiences in many featured roles with the Asheville Lyric Opera and solos with Asheville Choral Society, and baritone Roberto Flores, who has studied in Germany, soloed with the Asheville Symphony, and is a member of Pastyme, the premiere a capella ensemble of the Western Carolinas. AmiciMusic’s Artistic Director, Daniel Weiser, will collaborate on the piano.

Together they’ll transport listeners the Great White Way with arias, duets, and scenes from two great Broadway musicals, Irving Berlin’s “Annie, Get Your Gun” and Lerner and Loewe’s “Camelot”. Included will be such favorites as “Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better,” “They Say It’s Wonderful,” “If Ever I Would Leave You,” and “Camelot.”
