BeLoved Asheville partnering with the builders of the Blue Ridge Association of the Blue Ridge mountains have reached success on framing 4 homes in 4 days as a way to honor local workers ahead of Labor Day and be a solution to the housing crisis.
“BeLoved’s unwavering commitment and the incredible synergy of our community were on full display during the four-day blitz. From the dedicated site preparers to the skilled builders of our association, and the passionate volunteers who joined hands, we witnessed the astounding power that emerges when we unite for a common purpose. Together, we are a force of positive change, proving that a community’s potential knows no bounds,” says Megan Caroll, Executive Officer of Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
They are inviting the community to come out and celebrate this amazing accomplishment and thank the builder teams who participated. The Builders Blitz Celebration sponsored by Cultivate Climbing, Modern Mountain Builders and the Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains and benefitting BeLoved Asheville.
“This Blitz Build was truly a historic moment, brimming with hope and the power of community! Four houses in four days – a remarkable feat that opens the door to the possibility of creating deeply affordable homes for our community. It’s a giant stride towards addressing the housing crisis that looms over Asheville. Together, we’re turning the tide, building not just houses but futures filled with promise,” exclaimed Ponkho Bermejo, BeLoved Asheville Co-Director.

“We are so excited to celebrate on the 6th with everyone dedicated to ending the housing crisis, all volunteers, crew, builders, friends and families,” says Max Deholl, president/owner, Modern Mountain Builders.
The Blitz is made possible through a Lowe’s Hometowns grant meant to accelerate the completion of the BeLoved Village over the next six months.
All are welcome at the celebration, donations will be accepted to support the BeLoved Villages project to build deeply affordable homes for neighbors in need in our community.
