Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office arrests two on meth trafficking charges

Buncombe County Sheriff’s Deputies from BCAT have arrested two individuals on meth trafficking charges.

Holly Rose Suttle of Marshall has been charged with:

  • Trafficking in Methamphetamine by Possession

  • Maintaining a Vehicle or Dwelling for the Purposes of Controlled Substances

  • Possession of Firearm by Felon

Suttle was given a $10,000 bond.

Spencer Jay Yates on Jonesborough of Tennessee has been charged with:

  • Trafficking in Methamphetamine by Possession

  • Maintaining a Vehicle or Dwelling for the Purposes of Controlled Substances

  • Possession of Firearm by Felon

Yates has a $75,000 bond and is being held at the Buncombe County Detention Facility.

BCAT Agents obtained a search warrant for a hotel room in Asheville where Suttle and Yates were staying and seized two pistols, one of which was reported stolen, two clear plastic baggies containing suspected methamphetamine, 1,170 grams of water/methamphetamine solution and $9,455.00 in U.S. currency.

“Thank you to our BCAT Detectives for their excellent work. The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office will continue to work to dismantle high-level drug trafficking operations in our community,” says Buncombe County Sheriff Quentin Miller.
