UPDATE: Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office locates missing woman from Asheville

UPDATE: (September 27, 2021, 4:19 p.m) –  Mrs. Riddle was located in New York and is safe.

(September 27, 2021, 11:13 a.m.) – The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to locate a missing woman from the Asheville area.

Sybil Riddle, age 72, is approximately 5’ 2” and 140 pounds with blue/green eyes and long grey hair. Mrs. Riddle was last heard from on Sept. 26th around 7 a.m. She is driving a grey 2017 Lexus RX350 with NC plates 1449RT. The picture attached is a few years old and her hair is now more grey than blonde.

Anyone with information about the location of Sybil Riddle is asked to contact the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office at (828) 250-6670 or submit a tip via the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office app, which can be downloaded in the Apple or Google Play stores.
