Press release from WNC VA Health Care System:
Veterans will be able to enter and exit Charles George VA Medical Center’s main gate on Tunnel Road and the Riceville Road gate beginning Monday, June 7.
The current traffic pattern around to the valet entrance will remain the same. Veterans will now be will be screened and receive a wristband at the entrances to the main facility (Bldg. 47).
The City of Asheville bus route will also resume on-campus service June 7.
Veterans who need a COVID-19 test will proceed toward the Emergency Department entrance. Curbside Pharmacy service will remain in place outside of the Community Living Center entrance.
Visitor restrictions remain in place. Admitted non-COVID-19 Acute Care Veterans (this does not include Warrior’s Recovery Unit and Community Living Center) are allowed one visitor per day between 3 and 8 p.m. Other safety measures remain in place. Visitors will be screened prior to entering the facility and will be required to remain masked for the duration of their visit.
