City Council to hold public hearing, Sept. 24

The following is a City Council public hearing scheduled for the next formal meeting – September 24.   This listing is for information only and is subject to change.  Please call City Clerk Maggie Burleson at 259-5601 if you have any questions.

A. Public hearing to consider rezoning 940 West Chapel Road from Neighborhood Business District to RS-8 Residential Single-Family High Density District.

B. Public hearing to consider rezoning 99999 Lakeside Drive from RS-4 Residential Single-Family Medium Density District to RM-8 Residential Multi-Family Medium Density District.

C. Public hearing to consider a temporary moratorium on hotel development approvals within the City of Asheville.

D. Public hearing to consider an ordinance amending the City of Asheville Charter to provide for at-large elections for the members of the City of Asheville City Council.

E. Public hearing to consider an ordinance amending the City of Asheville Charter to provide that Asheville City Council elections be conducted by the nonpartisan primary and election method.
