City Council virtual public hearings set for Nov. 9

The following are public hearings scheduled for the next formal meeting – November 9.   This listing is for information only and is subject to change.  Please call City Clerk Maggie Burleson at 259-5601 if you have any questions.

1. To solicit comments for the Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnerships Program funds Annual Action Plan for Fiscal Year 2020-21 to correct and properly assign $225,000 in HOME program income received from Battery Park Apartments to the Fiscal Year 2018-19 program year.  For further information or to make written comments on this proposal, please contact Paul D’Angelo, City of Asheville, PO Box 7148, Asheville, NC, 28802 or call 828-251-4098.

2. To solicit comments for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships Program funds Annual Action Plan for Fiscal Year 2021-22 to move additional CDBG funds to contingency to be allocated next spring, 2022, in the Fiscal Year 2022-23 application cycle and update the HOME funds allocation.  For further information or to make written comments on this proposal, please contact Paul D’Angelo, City of Asheville, PO Box 7148, Asheville, NC, 28802 or call 828-251-4098.

3. To consider an amendment to the conditional zoning ordinance adopted on October 9, 2018 (Ordinance No. 4702) located at 511 Brevard Road, and identified on the Buncombe County tax maps and records as PIN 9627-97-4214, to remove a restriction on drive-through uses.

4. To consider adoption of a Corridor Study for Tunnel Road.

5. To consider adoption of a Corridor Study for Hendersonville Road.

6. To consider adoption of a Corridor Study for Biltmore Avenue/McDowell Street.
