Clover CBD offers low-income assistance program

Press release from Kudzu Brands:

Clover CBD, a new retail hemp CBD dispensary business that recently opened on Patton Avenue is truly living up to its mission, “Hemp for All!” by pursuing efforts to make hemp CBD, a compound of the hemp plant that has received recent acclaim for its wellness benefits, available to as many people as possible.

About Hemp CBD
Hemp CBD, or Cannabidiol, is a compound derived the hemp plant and is currently being sold in dispensaries across Asheville as tinctures, creams, whole flowers and food goods that customers claim provide them benefits that range from relaxation to improved digestion.

Because Clover CBD wants this popular lifestyle product to be accessible to as many people as possible, they are offering a low-income assistance program to make it available to anyone who would like to try it. Anyone below the current poverty level can apply for and, once approved, receive 40% off everything in the store as well as get many free samples. This forward-thinking dispensary has already given away over $1,000 worth of products during their first three weeks in business. In addition to the low-income program, they are offering extremely affordable prices and over 20 different strains of hemp flower for the public to choose from.

Previously outlawed in North Carolina because of its association with the marijuana plant, hemp was legalized in North Carolina in December of 2018.

Unlike THC, also found in cannabis plants, CBD does not have any psychotropic effects. Due to its ability to treat chronic conditions, CBD products have become legal across the United States so long as they are first FDA-approved. However, the legal status is not completely straightforward. Legality by state depends on whether CBD is derived from the hemp plant or the marijuana plant. Both of these plants are members of the cannabis family, but the difference is that, unlike marijuana, hemp contains only traces of THC. Hemp-derived CBD is legal, while marijuana-derived CBD legality varies. Now that there is a greater range of information about CBD, it has become more widely accepted and seen for its benefits across the country.

All of the hemp CBD flowers available at Clover CBD are grown with best organic practices without pesticides and produced in the United States. Although many strains are sourced from the West Coast, roughly eight are grown here in Asheville. After the products have been purchased from trusted farms, the flowers are observed under a microscope in high detail to make sure the structure is perfect.

The staff at Clover CBD is extremely knowledgeable about the industry and their products. Prior to coming into the store, customers can fill out a consulting form so that the staff can get to know their lifestyle and unique needs, and therefore provide them with individualized, high-quality lifestyle solutions. Their mission is to make sure that not only can all people afford hemp CBD, but they can also find the products best suited to their needs.

About Sean Wilson
Owner of Clover CBD, Sean Wilson, was in a motorcycle accident several years ago and left with chronic pain and severe arthritis. To manage his pain, he was prescribed several types of prescriptions that were both unhealthy and unpleasant. A graphic designer by trade, Wilson moved to the West Coast to build websites for dispensaries. Once there, he was exposed to cannabis and realized that it was so much better than opiates for his pain and this ultimately transformed his life. With a growing passion for the plants, Sean moved to Seattle and opened one of the first storefront dispensaries in the area, which later won Best Dispensary of the Year from the Seattle Times.

Sean has been working in the medical cannabis industry for 10 years now. He has fallen in love with helping people and watching the plant’s enormous medical value take effect. He and his business partner, a retired medical physician, are both extremely knowledgeable about the industry. They both have many relationships to the medical community and seek to approach hemp CBD as medicine and champion it in the Asheville area.
