Come Hear North Carolina becomes headline sponsor for Shindig on the Green

Press release from the Folk Heritage Committee:

The Folk Heritage Committee is excited to announce its partnership with Come Hear North Carolina, a promotional campaign of the N.C. Department of Natural and Cultural Resources and the N.C. Arts Council. The campaign is designed to celebrate North Carolina’s groundbreaking contributions to many of America’s most important musical genres: blues, bluegrass, jazz, gospel, funk, rock, and everything in-between. Our Shindig stage will join other stages that have been recognized by the campaign, such as MerleFest, IBMA/Wide Open Bluegrass, Hopscotch, NC Folk Festival and other major festivals. As a result of this partnership, Come Hear NC will be the headlining sponsor at each Shindig on the Green during the 2019 season.

We invite our many supporters of Shindig on the Green and the Mountain Dance and Folk Festival to visit ComeHearNC.com, where all the celebration activities and more can be found. Please support the celebration by attending each Shindig on the Green, beginning on Saturday, July 6, in Asheville.

For more info about the 53rd season of Shindig on the Green, visit www.folkheritage.org or call Brian Carter at 828-335-1263.
