Comic Book Illustration Class

The Haywood County Arts Council (HCAC) is excited to announce that local artist, James Lyle is offering a four part Comic Book Illustration and Story Line Class beginning on Saturday, March 9 at the HCAC Gallery & Gifts from 2:00-4:00 p.m.

James is offering four, two-hour lecture/discussion-style programs (with workshop time included in each) to be offered Saturday afternoons on March 9, 16, 20 and April 6th.   Class topics will include: Story construction and thumbnail/storyboard drawings; Refinement of art in pencil form; editing artwork and ink techniques for finished drawings; and Study in digital coloring and lettering/final edits.  The instructor will provide thumbnail sheets, 11×17 pre-ruled Bristol board, pencils, India inks, inking pens, brushes, along with other inking tools, computer, scanner, access to Photoshop software for class session only.

The fee for each class of the 4 class session is $20 for HCAC Members or $25 for non-members.
