David Joe Miller Presents Spoken Word Open Mic

David Joe Miller Presents his ever popular Spoken Word OPEN MIC! with his co-host Micah Mackenzie voted number one photographer five years running by Mountain Xpress. Also featuring a very special guest poet from Johnson City, TN, Jasmine Henderson! This will be our very first OPEN MIC at The Block off Biltmore at the corner of Market and Eagle streets downtown Asheville. It is also our very first Spoken Word OPEN MIC that is themed. Your stories and poetry should follow the theme of “Peace and Healing.”

Bring your ten minute story, poetry or written work and sign up for a chance to go on stage at The Block off Biltmore on Wednesday night, AUGUST 24th. 7pm signup, 8pm show! No cover charge!

David Joe Miller Presents is an Asheville based, spoken word production group lead by professional storyteller, David Joe Miller. Each month we produce at least three spoken word events across the city. From OPEN MIC’s to full fledge spoken word productions featuring professional poets and storytellers.
