Press release from Josh Remillard for Congress:
Army Veteran and former state house candidate Josh Remillard announces his run for North Carolina’s 11th Congressional District, to ensure Western North Carolina has leadership that represents our values.
“I’m running because Western North Carolina deserves better. We deserve leaders that will uphold the Constitution and make our lives better not someone who would incite insurrection and prey on women.” said Remillard. “I served in the Army for eight years, including two combat tours; I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and do the hard work of strengthening our economy, fixing a broken health-care system, and improving our kids’ education. I am running to stop Madison Cawthorn and bring honor back to Congress.
Josh Remillard was born in Goldsboro. Having been passed around from foster home to foster home, he was adopted at the age of four by his grandparents and grew up in Wilmington, North Carolina. Josh grew up learning the values of respect for others and selfless service shown by his grandfather’s service at the State Department and his grandparents’ decision to adopt him.
His sense of service led him to enlist in the U.S. Army as an Infantryman; he honorably served for eight years, including two combat tours in Iraq. Shortly after leaving the Army, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Washington. He then returned to North Carolina with his wife, to raise their family.
As the next congressman for North Carolina’s 11th District, Josh is committed to improving the lives of Western North Carolinians.
Yes! an honorable democrat would be amazing but isn’t that an oxymoron ?
Wow after 4 years of Trump I would be ashamed to publicly post that. Not to mention every single Republican voted against the Covid relief bill to help struggling families. Very Christian of you!
