Mission Health is pleased to announce the addition of Donald A. Gajewski, MD. Dr. Gajewski joins Asheville Orthopaedic Associates, an affiliate of Mission Health, from the Brooke Army Medical Center Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation in San Antonio, Texas, where he served as an orthopaedic surgeon as well as the Director of the Center for the Intrepid.
“We are honored to welcome Dr. Gajewski to the team of fine surgeons and caregivers at Asheville Orthopaedic Associates,” said Jonathan Bailey, Vice President of Operations, Mission Health. “Dr. Gajewski’s extensive educational research, surgical expertise and professional experience will be an invaluable asset not only to the practice but to the patients of western North Carolina.”
Dr. Gajewski earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pa. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., and later earned his fellowship in musculoskeletal oncology from the University of Miami School of Medicine. Dr. Gajewski is board certified in orthopaedic surgery. He has received several military awards and has been published in numerous peer reviewed, scholarly journals.
