Elvis in Asheville, July 30

A local event, “Viva Ashevegas! A 40th Anniversary Celebration of Elvis in Asheville,” pays tribute to Elvis Presley’s July 1975 performance in Asheville while also serving as a fundraiser for the Grateful Steps Foundation.

The festivities will be held at The Orange Peel on Thursday, July 30, at 8 p.m. The night includes a mini-documentary on Elvis’ time in Asheville; a performance by local Elvis tribute artist Carlo Martini, whose new memoir is about to be released by Grateful Steps; an Elvis-themed dance party with DJ Hunka Hunka; a silent auction of Elvis-themed works by local artists and more.

Tickets are $12 in advance/$15 day or show.
