​​The Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy’s 2016 Farmer Education Workshop Series

In partnership with NC Cooperative Extension and the North Carolina Agromedicine Institute presents:

“Farm Safety: Tractors, PPE and Risky Business”

When: Thursday September 8 2016 | 2-4:30 pm (Rain or Shine)

What:  Safety on the farm, though seemingly boring, is crucial for the sustainability of your work and can determine if you are successful or not.  We will have Buncombe County Extension agents and the NC Agromedicine Institute covering how to mitigate on farm risk, 4 wheel and 2 wheel tractor safety and personal protective equipment. The information will be relevant for all types and scales of operations, including livestock, vegetable and everything in between!  Everyone is welcome.
