Press release from Asheville Savings Bank:
Free Credit Report Pull and Review Event by OnTrack Financial Education & Counseling at Asheville Savings Bank Brevard Location
Visit ASB’s Brevard banking center on Thursday, Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
WHAT: OnTrack WNC Financial Education & Counseling (OnTrack WNC) will be onsite at Asheville Savings Bank’s Brevard Banking Center to provide free credit reports and FICO scores to local community members and bank customers. A certified credit counselor will also conduct a mini-credit report review to help orient you to your credit report and identify any immediate areas for improvement.
WHY: Credit reports contain valuable information on our borrowing history that banks, credit unions, landlords, insurance companies, and others use to determine your credit worthiness. OnTrack WNC offers the FICO score as an additional bonus – which 90% of lenders use to determine your interest rate on a loan. Since OnTrack WNC is a local, housing counseling, non-profit, they are able to pull the report as a soft inquiry and it will not impact your credit score.
WHO:
- OnTrack WNC is a private non-profit, community supported, United Way agency and member of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC). Since 1973, the agency’s mission has been to help people better manage their financial resources and credit through educational programs, individual counseling appointments and debt management programs.
- For 80 years, Asheville Savings Bank has been the local bank dedicated to community prosperity. With 13 banking centers throughout Western North Carolina, ASB offers both personal and business banking products and services.
DETAILS:
– When: Thursday, Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.– Where: Asheville Savings Bank Brevard Banking Center, 2 Market Street, Straus Park, Brevard, N.C.
– This is a walk-in event; no appointments needed.
