Hendersonville seeks input on new police chief

Press release from the City of Hendersonville:

The City of Hendersonville is seeking feedback from the public as they begin their search to find the next Hendersonville Police Chief. A survey is available on the city’s website to gather community input on the opportunities facing the department and the qualities desired in the future chief. Citizens are asked to complete the survey by Friday, Sept. 11, so the input can be incorporated into the selection process.

The City is partnering with Developmental Associates, who will oversee the search and selection, which is expected to take three to six months. City Manager John Connet will present additional details about the process to City Council at their regular meeting on Thursday, Sept. 3.

Chief Bill Hollingsed began service as the department’s interim chief on Aug. 24 and will continue to serve in that role until a permanent chief is selected.

The public is invited to fill out the survey by visiting https://www.hendersonvillenc.gov/policechiefsurvey
