Austin’s John Wesley Coleman III incorporates his heady musings and witticisms with analog slacker rock. His new full length release, Greatest Hits, is now available on vinyl by local imprint Super Secret Records (The album is also available digitally). The album received positive attention from the Austin Chronicle, Blurt Magazine, and Austin Monthly, which noted that “Like all great songwriters, John Wesley Coleman III works between timeless universality and fresh phrasings, creating sentiments that feel familiar but sound original.” Following years of varied creative output at a breakneck pace, including performing with psychedelic five-piece The Golden Boys and releasing a combination poetry book/CD titled American Trashcan, Coleman finds himself in new, unfamiliar creative turf – becoming a dad.
