Mora, Asheville’s award-winning destination for contemporary handmade jewelry, is pleased to announce a special event featuring local jeweler Molly Dingledine. Join us on Saturday, August 1st from 10:00am until 6:00pm to view and shop an extensive collection of nature-inspired and locally-crafted designs. A reception for the artist will be held from 2:00 to 5:00pm. The event is free and open to the public.

Molly Dingledine has gained national recognition and a loyal following for her elegant compositions of leaf and flower forms realized in precious metals and pearls. Ginkgo leaves, lotus blossoms, and daisies are recurring patterns delicately rendered into very pretty and feminine necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and more. Her jewelry is increasingly desired by modern brides seeking unique pieces for their special day. Molly Dingledine’s trunk show at Mora will feature the widest selection and diversity of pieces ever on display at the store.

“The beauty, simplicity, and intricacy of nature fascinates me. It inspires me to create unique jewelry from silver and gold, pearls, and gemstones. Being in nature and studying its leaves, buds, and flowers engages me with life on Earth.

I love to study plants and how they grow. Each component connects to create a perfect structure. I build upon simple natural shapes to create complex, organic, and kinetic forms. Through my work I pay respect to our Earth and the growth and transformation that is part of life,” says Molly Dingledine.

A Charleston native, Molly Dingledine graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2005, earning a BFA in metals and jewelry. She has been a full-time jeweler based in Asheville, North Carolina, since 2006. Molly is a member of the Southern Highlands Craft Guild and exhibits at top-tier craft shows nationwide. She has been represented by Mora since January.
