NC 10TH CONGRESSIONAL DEBATES SCHEDULED
Candidates to Square off in Catawba and Buncombe Counties

COLUMBUS, N.C. (October 18, 2016): Voters in NC’s 10th Congressional District will have the opportunity to hear directly from Rep. Patrick McHenry (R) and Democratic Challenger Andy Millard at two debates scheduled for Oct. 25 and Oct. 28.

The Catawba County Chamber of Commerce will host a Congressional Forum on Tuesday, October 25th from 12:00-1:30pm at Lake Hickory Country Club. The event, which includes lunch, is co-hosted by Lake Hickory Rotary Club and is open to the public. The cost to attend is $15. Attendees must register online at catawbachamber.chambermaster.com/eventregistration/register/4282.

The Council of Independent Business Owners (CIBO) in Asheville will also host a debate on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 12:00 pm. The debate, which includes a Chick-fil-A lunch for $10, is open to the public and will be held at the Highland Brewing Company Event Center. Highland Brewing Company is located at 12 Old Charlotte Highway in Asheville, NC.

Andy Millard is a Certified Financial Planner and community leader running to serve the people of North Carolina’s Tenth Congressional District. He wants to help people in the 10th district in specific, tangible ways with investments that benefit everyone, an economy that works for everyone, and a government that represents everyone. Millard believes there needs to be a whole new approach to governing. “Congress has long since dropped any appearance of working together; it is now just a forum for posturing and name-calling. Meanwhile, our district, state, and nation continue to face tough challenges that are not addressed,” he said. Millard wants to bring his extensive experience working with diverse groups to the United States House of Representatives.
